Viola Collins Soper

Viola “Vicki” Soper passed away after a courageous battle with cancer and dementia on July 16, 2025, at the age of 75. Vicki was a good wife, great mother and an amazing RGR Nanny and Big Nanny. She was preceded in death by her parents Alfred and Velma Collins, her brother AJ Collins, and countless other grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins and fur babies that we find comfort in knowing were there to greet her. She has left to cherish her memory, her husband of almost 57 years Ken Soper, daughter Vikki Lynn Green and her husband James “Jimmy” Green, daughter Rebekah “Becky” Soper, grandson Lennie “Bud” Turner and his wife Kathryn “Katie” granddaughter Samantha “Sammi” Green, and great-grandson Emmett Turner as well as her faithful companion Rover. Vicki worked for the Commonwealth of Virginia, mostly with DMAS for 50 years, she never met a stranger nor a dog she didn’t want to pet and love on. She loved to travel,  enjoyed spending time making lasting memories with friends and family, playing games on her iPad and watching her favorite shows…but not wrestling. We would like to thank each and every family member,  friend, neighbor, and coworker who has supported us, prayed for us and allowed us to share stories and antics our Mom got up too, you each made the hard days easier.   A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, August 30, 2025 at King’s Korner located at 7511 Airfield Dr, North Chesterfield, VA 23237 with more information to follow.
