Robert Emmet Brennan, III

  

Robert Emmet Brennan, III, USCG (Retired) 87, formerly of Laurel, MD died in his home in Heathsville, VA on June 11, 2025. He was a resident of Heathsville, VA since 1995.

 

Robert (Buddy) Brennan was born on June 10, 1938 to Robert Emmet Brennan, Jr. and Marjorie Gould Brennan.

Robert (Buddy) proudly served his Country by enlisting in the US Air Force in 1955 and serving four years. In June 1963 he enlisted and served two terms in the US Navy.  He then joined the US Coast in 1974 and retired in 1986.

 

Robert (Buddy) is predeceased by his parents and a sister, Marjorie Jean Synovec, and his wife of sixteen years, Virginia D. Reid Brennan.  He was also the stepfather of the late James Danford Reid.

 

He is survived by his sister Barbara Sevarino, of Bowie, MD and his brother George Gary Brennan of Dublin, GA.  In addition, he is survived by his stepchildren V. Dare Fisher of Lindale, GA; H. Duane Reid of Homosassa, FL; Marsha E. Maloney (Chuck) of Dayton, MD and Janice Reid Provost (Neil) of Havelock, NC. 

 

Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. on August 13, 2025 at Meadowridge Memorial Park, 7250 Washington Blvd., Elkridge MD 21075. Reception immediately following.
