Andrea Lee (Kennedy) McCrury

May 21, 1967 – August 4, 2025

Andrea Lee McCrury, 58, transitioned peacefully into the presence of her Lord on August 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of her husband, Tim, and their two sons, Anthony and Kenneth McCrury.

Born on May 21, 1967, in Bangor, Maine, Andrea was the cherished daughter of Rev. Carroll and Carolyn Kennedy. She was raised in a home filled with faith, love, and purpose—values that guided her throughout her life.

Andrea’s heart for ministry and service was evident to all who knew her. Over the years, she faithfully served in multiple roles in the churches she attended. She joyfully sang in worship, taught Sunday School and Children’s Church, managed the church phone tree, and served as the schedule coordinator for the Production Department at The Sanctuary in Virginia. Her quiet strength, unwavering faith, and commitment to others made a lasting impact on her church family.

Children held a special place in Andrea’s heart. She operated a daycare for over ten years, lovingly caring for little ones from infancy through their early school years. More than just a caregiver, Andrea was a teacher, nurturer, and spiritual guide—planting seeds of love and faith in each child’s life.

Together with Tim, Andrea also devoted years to ministry abroad and at home. The couple served in New Zealand and Fiji with the Associates In Missions program and pastored churches in Madawaska and Machias, Maine. In 2005, they moved to Tennessee to care for Tim’s father, and in 2006, made their home in Virginia to serve at The Sanctuary, where Andrea continued her ministry work with great passion and grace.

Andrea lived a life of purpose, humility, and love. Her legacy is one of faith, family, and unwavering devotion to God and others.  She is survived by her loving husband, Tim McCrury; sons, Anthony McCrury (Autumn McCrury) and Kenneth McCrury; parents, Rev. Carrol and Carolyn Kennedy; sister, Lynette Peabody; and a host of extended family, friends, and those whose lives she touched deeply.

In keeping with Andrea’s wishes, memorial contributions may be made to The Sanctuary Building Fund in lieu of flowers.
