In Loving Memory of Lawrence Edloe Gentry III
 

Lawrence Edloe Gentry III, age 58, passed away peacefully on August 14, 2025. A devoted father, cherished son, treasured family member, and loyal friend, Lawrence touched the lives of many and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
 

He is survived by his beloved children, Lawrence “Tre’Von” Gentry and Shayla Gentry, who were the pride and joy of his life.
Lawrence was preceded in death by his loving parents, Pauline Marie Bagby Gentry and Lawrence “Spider” Edloe Gentry.
 

Born on September 29, 1966, in Henrico, Virginia, Lawrence spent his early years in the close-knit community of Varina. He attended Varina High School and later found his professional path as a CDL driver, a career he dedicated himself to for many years.
 

Above all, Lawrence was a devoted and loving father. He had a passion for racing, football, and travel, but his greatest joy came from spending time with family and friends—laughing, sharing stories, and creating memories filled with love and laughter.

 

Lawrence’s warm heart, sense of humor, and unwavering love will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
 

A public celebration of Lawrence’s life will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Gravel Hill Baptist Church, where family and friends will gather to honor and remember his life.
