Doris Ann Call

Doris Ann Call, 75, of Richmond, Virginia, passed away on September 28, 2025, at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital. She was born on January 5, 1950, in Germany, the daughter of the late Kathrine Bratyszczenko and Petro Bratyszczenko.

 

Doris was preceded in death by her sister, Maria Andrews; her first husband, John Embrey Jr.; her second husband, Raymond Call III; and her son, John Embrey III. She is survived by her loving sons, Tim Embrey and Corey Call; her cherished grandchildren, James, Bridget, Brenden, and Blake Embrey, and Leon and Anna Lucia Call; and her beloved daughters-in-law, Marion Embrey, Charlotte Embrey, and Isabel Fay.

 

A service to honor her life will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Richmond Coach and Cremation Service, 8500 Staples Mill Road, Henrico, VA, 23228.

 

Doris will be remembered for the unconditional love and support she gave to her family and loved ones. She was quick to laugh, had a wonderful sense of humor, and brought joy to those around her. Above all, her greatest happiness came from the time she spent with her grandchildren, who were the light of her life.
