David Glenn Roberts passed away peacefully on August 24, 2025, at VCU Health Center. David was born in South Boston, VA, grew up in Emporia, VA, and resided in Richmond for 37 years. 

 

David was a Videographer/Field producer in Richmond for 25 years, working for WRIC, WWBT, and most recently WTVR. David was proud of his work and achievements in local television market. David was a quiet and kind soul. David bravely faced two cancer diagnosis, surviving the first, but succumbing to the second despite the best efforts of him and his medical team.

 

David was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Lou and Allen Roberts, and brother Brian. David is survived by brother Jay, and his wife, Lisa, and nephews Cole and Walker, and many cousins. Friends from high school, college and work will miss David’s presence.

 

A service to honor his life will be held on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at Richmond Coach and Cremation Service, 8500 Staples Mill Road, Henrico, VA, 23228. Family will attend inurnment at Westhampton Memorial & Cremation Park, 10000 Patterson Ave, Richmond, VA 23238, at 2 p.m.  In lieu of flowers, please donate to a cancer or hospice charity.
