Ronald Gregory “Greg” Rosenberg
Ronald Gregory Rosenberg (Greg) passed away peacefully on December 19, 2025, at the age of 59. He had a great sense of humor and a command of theatrics. Greg lived a life defined by his devotion to family, love for the outdoors, and a lifelong passion for lacrosse. He had many interests, from skiing and snowmobiling to gardening and a deep appreciation for all genres of music. He was well-known for his practical jokes and lighthearted spirit, a quality he took pride in instilling in his daughters.
Greg is survived by his beloved wife, Catherine (Jerome); his “amazing” daughters, Clare and Grace; his father, Ronald Rosenberg; and his siblings, Todd (Brooke) and Jennifer. He was a memorable and cherished uncle to Saralynn, Nathaniel, Allison, Evelyn, Devon, Jenna, Will, and Rex. He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara.
Born and raised in Camillus, NY, Greg graduated from West Genesee High School in 1984. He later earned a B.S. in Management from Keuka College in 1996. Eventually, he and Cathie moved to Virginia to start their new family.
His positive attitude and caring personality will be forever remembered by the many lives he touched on and off the field.
Greg’s passion for lacrosse was more than a hobby; it was a career and a calling. He was dedicated to teaching the next generation about the culture and indigenous origins of the “Creator’s Game”. Throughout his career, he served in several influential roles, most recently as Lacrosse Scout with Next College Student Athlete, helping young athletes find their perfect collegiate match. He enjoyed mentoring and coaching with Keystone College, the University of Richmond, Randolph-Macon College, Atlee High School, Venom, North Meets South, and the Hanover Hurricanes.
In honor of Greg’s lifelong commitment to the sport and helping others, the family requests that donations be made in his name to HEADstrong Foundation https://www.headstrong.org/give an organization supporting families affected by cancer through the game of lacrosse.

Greg was a wonderful man. As his cousin I will always remember his humor. He was always smiling. I can say I don’t remember seeing him angry but do remember him up to no good at times. Which I found very entertaining.
