Ernesto Lorenzo Miranda, Jr., age 68 of Henrico County, Virginia passed away on February 21, 2026 in St. Mary’s Hospital.

 

Ernesto L. Miranda, Jr., was preceded in death by his mom, Elba Moran Urquhart and father Ernesto Lorenzo Miranda, Sr.   Survivors include his brother Leroy Henry Miranda, Sr. and sister  Ada Moran Scott and nephews Wilbur Scott, Jr., Billy Scott, Drew Michael Miranda, and Leroy Henry Miranda, Jr. and nieces Wendy Scott, Maria Miranda Hargis, Elena Miranda Millwood, Brenda J. Miranda, and Angela Miranda Butterworth.

 

Ernesto was born in New Orleans, Louisiana and lived in River Ridge, LA  for 40 plus years prior to moving Henrico County, Virginia in January 2021.    He loved music, friends and going to church.   He was patriotic and loved and respected law enforcement. He was well loved at Riverside Baptist Church in River Ridge, LA and Cool Spring Baptist Church in Mechanicsville, Virginia.   He was born with cerebral palsy and suffered many other health issues.   He lived the best life he could with his special needs.    He will be missed by his family and friends,  family of Glen and Kathleen Benfield who treated him like family as well as Joe Demello and Pam Robertson.
