Marshall Ray McCrickard

On Sunday, March 1, 2026, Marshall Ray McCrickard passed into the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior. He was predeceased by his parents, Frederick Marshall and Roberta (Maxey) McCrickard, and his brother Kenneth and wife, Sandra McCrickard.

Marshall is survived by his wife of 61 years, Carol Sue, and three sons:  Michael (Dawn), David (Anna) and James (Melissa) along with seven grandchildren, nephew, Warren McCrickard, niece, Evelyn McCrickard, nephew, John Wiseman (Jenny), sister-in-law, Lynn Anderson, and several cousins.

Marshall was a long-time minister/evangelist of the Christian Church/Churches of Christ, holding ministries in North Carolina, Kentucky, Virginia, and Florida. He was ordained into the ministry in 1960 at the Chatham Heights Christian Church; graduated from Cincinnati Bible Seminary, Ohio. He worked for Dignity Memorial in Florida for 16 years as a PreNeed Counselor.

His love of ministry and the legacy he left is exhibited in his three sons, all ordained ministers. His beloved wife, Carol Sue, has been a constant supporter, encourager, and lifetime soulmate.  

A greeting time will be held at the New Found Church of Christ, 14166  Gordon’s Lane, Glen Allen, VA, on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 1:00 PM.  A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Oak Hill Christian Service Camp, PO Box 245, Studley, VA 23162.
