Thomas W. Strahs

Thomas W. Strahs, 79, of Summerville SC, passed away in Midlothian Virginia on Wednesday March 4^th, 2026.

Born on December 10^th, 1946, in Evanston Illinois, to parents Robert F. and Anne L. Strahs.  He was known for his kind nature, knowledge, advice, and love of friendships.  Avid Trainer, Writer, Advisor, Consultant, world traveler, and loving husband, father and grandfather.

Tom is survived by 2 sons Eric C. Strahs (Wife Liz) and Ryan D Strahs, as well as 3 grandchildren Karl Strahs, Lucy Strahs, and RJ Strahs. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Anita J Strahs and their first-born Karl Strahs.

Tom graduated from Norte Dame High School and NYU school of Photography and had an enlightening career spanning from time in the seminary, Eastern Airlines, Playboy, Mack Trucks, BMW, as well as authoring 2 books.

Services are to be planned for April 25th in Londonderry NH, and an informal gathering for a celebration of life will also be likely held in Richmond VA in the near future. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to American Heart Association or a charity of your choice.
