Mark Wayne Coombs
Mark Wayne Coombs, 68, passed away peacefully on April 30th at 6:31 a.m surrounded by family. He was born in Charles County, Maryland, and later made his home in Mechanicsville, Virginia.
Mark was a dedicated construction and drywall worker who took pride in building with his hands and providing for his family. Outside of work, he lived life on his own terms, whether that meant riding his Harley-Davidson, listening to AC/DC and classic rock, or picking up his guitar. He loved the outdoors and found joy in the simple things, especially when surrounded by the people he cared about most.
Mark will be remembered for his big personality, his love of a good time, and his unmistakable laugh. He had a way of bringing energy into any room, always ready to share a story, crack a joke, or pour a glass of Crown and enjoy the moment.
Above all, Mark loved his family deeply. He is survived by the mother of his children, Lynn Bender; his children, Brittany Coombs, Ashton Coombs, Dakota Coombs, and Brooks Coombs; his grandchildren, Andrew Coombs, Cierra Coombs, and Bentley Coombs; and his daughters-in-law, Elena Coombs and Katie Coombs. His legacy lives on through each of them.
A celebration of life will be held on May 17th, where his ashes will be spread. Those interested in attending are asked to reach out to immediate family for details.
