It is with deep sadness and love that we announce the passing of Kimberly Emerson Harris, who passed away peacefully on September 25, 2026, in Richmond, Virginia, at the age of 59. Born on November 7, 1966, she was the beloved daughter to Patsy Emerson and Donald Emerson. She was a lifelong resident of Chester, Virginia, and graduate of L.C. Bird High School. Throughout 59 years, she carried incredible strength, kindness, and an overwhelming will to give. Her presence brought comfort, love, and inspiration to her children and those around her. She was a loving mother. A devoted wife, a cherished sister, an amazing friend and most of all, a remarkably strong woman who’s shared memories and experiences will never be replaced or forgotten.

She is survived by her husband, Douglas Harris; her two children, Hayley Peaks and Linsay Harris; as well as her beloved brother, Rusty Emerson.

Memorial services will be held at Glen Allen Baptist Church, on Mountain Road Saturday October 3^rd. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., and the services will begin immediately after.

All friends and family members will be warmly welcomed to celebrate their relationship with Kim. Her family hopes most will be able to attend this celebration of her life.
