Danny L. Shackelford

December 20, 1963 – October 10, 2026

It is with heavy hearts and great sadness that we announce the passing of Danny L. Shackelford, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, uncle and friend.

Danny was a man who loved deeply, worked hard, and left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to know him. Above all else, he deeply loved his eight children and his grandchildren. His family meant the world to him, and he was a wonderful husband to his wife, Angela. The 26 years of love they shared was a beautiful testament to the life they built together.

If you knew Danny, you loved him. He was quite the character, with a personality that made him unforgettable. He had a way of bringing laughter into a room and leaving people with stories and memories they would carry with them long after the moment had passed. Danny was truly one of a kind, and there will never be another quite like him.

Danny was a master plumber by trade and spent his career working for several companies. One company, however, held a particularly special place in his heart: Woodfin, where Danny served as a Plumbing Manager. The relationships he built with his coworkers were unmatched and truly special, and the friendships he formed throughout his career meant so much to him. Danny was a dedicated and hardworking man who took great pride in what he did. During his time in management, he cared deeply about his employees, always valuing the people who worked alongside him. His strong work ethic, loyalty, and genuine care for others were qualities that defined him.

When Danny wasn’t working, he enjoyed spending his free time watching Western movies, wrestling, and football. As a devoted Chicago Bears enthusiast, he loved cheering on his team. He also had a special love for his two dogs, Charlie and Lola, who brought him companionship and happiness.

Danny leaves behind his beloved wife, Angela; his eight children, Brandon, Andrew, Ashley, Allison, Alyssa, Audrey, Myles, and Aidan; his grandchildren, Liam, and Elliana; his mother, Evelyn (James); and his sister, Patty (Norm),Tracy (John), Mike (Shelby). He was preceded in death by his two sisters, Diane and Lisa, and his brother, Larry.

Though our hearts are broken by his passing, Danny’s memory will live on through the family he loved, the friendships he cherished, the laughter he shared, and the countless lives he touched throughout his life. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, love, loyalty, and unforgettable memories.

In keeping with Danny’s wishes, he will be cremated, and no celebration of life or formal services will be held. Danny was a very private man, and his family will honor his wishes with the same love and respect he deserves.

Danny was deeply loved, and he will be missed more than words can ever express. Until we meet again, rest peacefully in the arms of our Lord and Savior. You will be forever loved and never forgotten.
