David Carroll Hamilton

David Carroll Hamilton, 80, of Henrico, Virginia, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. Born on December 19, 1945, in Amherst County, Virginia, David was the youngest of four children born to Raymond and Virginia Hamilton.

David was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Hamilton; his brother, Herbert Hamilton; and his parents, Raymond and Virginia Hamilton. He is survived by his sister, Mary Francis Simpson; his brother, Cecil Hamilton (Mozelle); his sons, Kevin Hamilton (Kristen), and Chris Hamilton (Julie); and his cherished grandchildren — Lilyana, Levi, Landry, Dalton, and Rylan — who brought him endless joy.

A proud veteran, David served his country honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. After returning home, he built a long and dedicated career as an electrician with Philip Morris, where he worked for 30 years.

David was an avid outdoorsman who found peace and purpose in the woods and on the water. He loved hunting, fishing, and the quiet moments that came with being in nature. He also enjoyed bowling and treasured every moment spent with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.

David will be remembered for his steady presence, his love of family, and the warmth he carried into every room. His legacy lives on in the stories he shared, the lessons he taught, and the generations who loved him deeply.

A celebration of David’s life will be held on June 18th, 2026, at Richmond Coach, 8500 Staples Mill Rd, Henrico, 23228 from 4pm to 6pm. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life well lived. Memorial service will begin promptly at 4:40 pm, Military honor at 5pm. 

In honor of David’s memory, the family kindly asks that, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or the National Multiple Sclerosis Society.
