Leon Stephone Bowling

 

Leon Stephone Bowling, age 16, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He was a loving son, grandson, and brother.

 

Leon is survived by his parents, Chelay Clark and Lee Bowling; his grandmothers, Julie Williams and Shelia Clark; his siblings, Chaziyah, Moniyah, Lamonte’, Keon, and Omari; and a host of other family and friends.

 

Leon was born on November 16, 2008, in Richmond, Virginia, where he grew up. He attended Richmond High School for the Arts. He was the owner of “Backyard Bully Kennels,” a business he started at age 13 with his brother Keon.

 

Services for family and friends will be held at Mt. Olivet Church, 1223 N. 25th St., Richmond, VA 23223, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. A Celebration of Life will follow immediately after the service.

 

The family kindly requests that everyone wear the color blue, as it was Leon’s favorite.
