Linda Miller
Linda Miller, 75, of Midlothian, Virginia, peacefully entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on July 9, 2026. She was born on August 8, 1950, in Alexandria, Virginia.
Linda dedicated more than 30 years of her life as a special needs school bus driver for Chesterfield County. To the countless children she transported and cared for, she was more than a driver—she was a comforting, familiar face who greeted each day with kindness, patience, and compassion.
A devoted Christian and faithful member of Winfree Baptist Church in Midlothian, Linda found great joy in serving the Lord. In her earlier years at Oak Grove Baptist Church, she loved singing in the church choir and faithfully served in the youth and puppet ministries, sharing God’s love with children and families alike.
Above all else, Linda was a woman whose life was defined by love. Momma loved the best she could, and she shared that love with everyone she met along the way. Her home, her heart, and her arms were always open to those who needed encouragement, acceptance, or simply someone to care. Her greatest gift was making people feel like family.
She is lovingly survived by her daughters, Marjorie Cannon (Jeff), Crystal Williams (Joe) and Rebecca Hodges.
She was a proud grandmother to Catarina McDaniel (Tyler), Allison Kramer, Ryan Kramer (Megan), Jason Kramer (Maggie), Spencer Cannon, R. Michael Walker, Alexis Walker, and Courtney Hodges.
Her precious legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: Mason McDaniel, Emerson Winegardner, Jaliyah Burrell, Aubriella Burrell, Wynter Burrell, and Kehlani Stutts.
Linda is also survived by her siblings, Terry Miller, Suzie Corter (Dave), and Jeff Allen.
To many, she was simply known as “Momma Linda.” She would be remiss not to mention the many people who became family through love rather than blood, especially Dawn Poindexter, Rebecca Rayfield, and Diane Chiasson, Laurie Elledge, whom she loved dearly. She was also a cherished “Memaw” to Michael and Johnathan Anderson, Olivia Sharp, and Jacob Poindexter. Each held a special place in her heart, and she loved them as though they were her own grandchildren.
Though our hearts are heavy with loss, we find comfort in knowing that Linda’s faith has become sight. Her gentle spirit, generous heart, and unwavering love will continue to live on in the countless lives she touched. Her family rejoices in the promise that, because of her faith in Jesus Christ, this is not goodbye but “until we meet again.”
A memorial service celebrating Linda’s life will be held on her birthday, Saturday, August 8, 2026, at 11:00 a.m., at Winfree Baptist Church, 13617 Midlothian Turnpike, Midlothian, Virginia 23113.
In honoring Linda’s life, may we remember to love others as she did—with an open heart, unconditional kindness, and the grace that comes from Christ.
