Lisa Katryn Corzine Nuckolls departed this life Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at the age of 72.  She was the daughter of Dr. William and Catherine Corzine of Chillicothe, Ohio and is survived by her husband of 46 years, George Nuckolls Jr., her son, George (G.T.) Nuckolls III and spouse, Farheen Nuckolls; three granddaughters, Eshal, Mishal (Mimi) and Azalea (Leah); three brothers and their families in Ohio, Jhan and spouse, Joanie Corzine, Jeff and spouse, Emily Corzine, Greg and spouse, Liz Corzine and sisters-in-law, Julia Southworth,  Anne Colgin and Maryann Nuckolls plus many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.

Lisa moved from Ohio to Richmond in 1972 and graduated from St. Lukes School of Nursing with the Class of 1976.  She touched many lives in many ways in her 45 years of service.  In addition to a nursing career, Lisa served on the Board of Directors for ABIL – Agoraphobics Building Independent Living from 1988 to 1995.  In 2011 she traveled to Kabingo, Uganda on a Medical Missionary trip.  Lisa hosted, on two occasions, children from Dominican Republic while in the U.S. for medical treatment and recovery.  She loved animals from an early age, especially her horses and she rescued her share of bats, birds, cats, dogs, mice, opossum(s) and turtles.  Lisa was seldom on time, but she was a fantastic mother, wife, friend and nurse.

The family extends special thanks to Melissa, Michelle, Dee and Gwen for their loving and kind care as well as the VCU Doctors and their Health Hospice at Home by Bayada staff. 

Celebration of Life Services will be held on Saturday, July 12th from 2-6 at Battery Park Christian Church, Richmond, Virginia and again on Saturday, August 9th from 11-2 at the Chillicothe Country Club, Chillicothe, Ohio.
