Lucy Marie Ehlinger of Henrico, Virginia passed away peacefully on February 27, 2026, at the age of 88.

Known by her three sisters affectionately as “Lou” she was born in Frankfort, New York.  She married the love of her life, Thomas Ehlinger, and together they had two daughters before his passing.

Lucy lived in Melbourne, Florida before relocating to Henrico, Virginia to be closer to her daughters, son-in-laws and four grandchildren.

Family was always her top priority.  She had a strong connection with her immediate family members, sisters, in-laws, nieces and nephews.  When she wasn’t with family, you could find her traveling, knitting, reading or socializing with her friends that became family at Senior Connection.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30am on Friday, March 13, 2026, at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church located at 9505 Gayton Road Richmond, Virginia 23229 with Father Michael Renninger officiating.

Lucy will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Thomas at Calvary Cemetery in Utica, New York.
