Lyle Edward “Eddie” Gilbo III

Lyle Edward “Eddie” GIlbo III, passed away on March 7th, 2026.

Eddie was born on April 9th, 1977, and will be remembered for his kind spirit, easy smile, and unmistakable laugh that brought warmth to everyone around him.  He has a deep love for fishing and found joy and peace on the water, a place where he was most at home.  

Eddie was a devoted father and leaves behind his beloved sons, Christopher Kerns and Joesph Gilbo, who were the pride of his life.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Lyle and Jeanette Gilbo.  

He is also survived by his brother, Thurman Bowden, and nephews.   Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and extended family members who will forever cherish their memories of him.  

Eddie’s laughter, gentle nature, and genuine heart will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.  His memory will live on through the stories shared, the smiles he inspired, and the love he leaves behind.  

Eddie’s favorite saying was whenever someone called to ask how he was doing, he’d always reply with a smile in his voice, “Just living the dream, baby—just living the dream.”

Now, he truly is living that dream, just like he always said.
