Mack S. Hampton, 77, of Richmond, Virginia passed away June 1, 2026 in his home.

Mack was the son of Walter Hampton and Vassie Garrett Hampton, both deceased. He is survived by one brother Arnold Hampton of Galax, Va., and three sisters Nyoka Osborne of Virginia Beach, Carol Hampton of Austin, Texas, Virginia Traylor of Virginia Beach, seven nieces and four nephews. Mack is also survived by his neighbors Vivian and John Colgrove, whom he loved and called family, as well as many friends.

As a construction supervisor for many years Mack retired at age 75 with the goal of riding his Harley motorcycle around America. Mack loved riding his motorcycle, it was his passion. He also loved music and learned to play the guitar at a young age. Mack brought joy to many people with his picking and singing.

Mack was a true believer in our Lord Jesus Christ and he would share the gospel with people at every opportunity.

Mack will be lovingly remembered and missed by all.

There will be a graveside service on Friday June 5, 2026 at 11am at Mt. Vernon cemetery located at 11220 Nuckols Rd., Glen Allen, Virginia.

Richmond Coach and Cremation Services will be handling the arrangements.
