Micheal Damien Allshouse
Micheal Damien Allshouse, 52, of Midlothian, Virginia, born July 13, 1973, left us all heartbroken on April 16, 2026.
Micheal was preceded in death by his father, Carl Allshouse Sr.; his mother, Anita Hoggard; his sister, Amanda Webb; and his brother, Carl Allshouse Jr.
Micheal was employed by France Environmental as an industrial hygienist, where he brought both enthusiasm and dedication to his work. He was deeply affected by the passing of company owner Joseph France, a dear friend and mentor.
A proud U.S. Army combat veteran, Micheal served as a cargo specialist during Operation Vigilant Warrior with the 11th Transportation Battalion. Later in his military career, he volunteered as an assistant to Chaplain Thomas Mattingly. Chaplain Mattingly asked only three things of any soldier: “Unflinching loyalty, a pleasant personality, and a closed mouth.” He once said of Micheal, “Mike has proven his devotion not only to me but to the Lord as well. His affable manner, extreme dependability, and punctuality have made him more reliable than a Maytag washer.” Micheal received numerous medals and awards and was honorably discharged in 2000.
An avid motorcycle enthusiast, Micheal found his therapy on the open road, riding his Harley-Davidson with Cody Jinks playing loudly. He was happiest when he was on his bike.
In his spare time, Micheal enjoyed exploring new Airbnb destinations, attending concerts with his partner, birdwatching, planting wildflowers, and telling the very worst “dad jokes”—which somehow made them the best.
Left to cherish his memory are his partner, Sherry Walsh, and her son, Augustus Walsh; his son, Conner Shade; his brother, Richard Hack; his brother, James Hoggard (Nicole); his nephew, Christian Allshouse (Ashton); his sister, Samaneh Allshouse; his beloved “rents,” Terry and Brenda Winebrenner; as well as many cherished friends and coworkers.
Micheal, we will look for you in the stars above the Blue Ridge and in the rippling surface of the Rivanna River. You carried a heavy heart and fought valiantly for a long time. May you now have the rest and peace you so richly deserve. There will never be another you, and your presence will be missed beyond measure.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Micheal Allshouse may be made to the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, 2361 Hyland Blvd., Staten Island, NY 10306. or www.t2t.org
Michael will be laid to rest at the Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia.
