Morris Lee Gibson Jr

Morris Lee Gibson Jr., 66, of Henrico, Virginia, passed away peacefully on October 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones.

 

Morris was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia Gibson; his children, Matthew Gibson and Megan Nixon(and her husband Aaron Nixon); his sisters, Hazel Walton and Tammy Thompson; his brothers, Melvin Gibson (and wife Shirley Gibson) and James Moore Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his parents, Morris Gibson Sr. and Inis Marks (and her husband Phillip Marks).

 

Morris dedicated his career as a superintendent in the construction industry, where he was respected for his hard work, leadership, and unwavering commitment to doing the job right. His love for building and creating extended beyond work—it was a true passion that reflected who he was: someone who built things with care, both in his profession and in his relationships.

 

Outside of work, Morris enjoyed playing billiards, watching movies, and spending quiet moments with his family. He was known as a good provider, a loving father, and a man others could always count on. His trustworthiness and dependability were the foundation of who he was, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

 

 

A memorial service will be held for immediate friends and family to celebrate his life.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you take a moment to honor Morris by spending time with your loved ones, building something meaningful, or simply watching a good movie in his memory.
