Nancy Lee Blankenship
Nancy was a woman of deep faith who loved the Lord and faithfully served Him throughout her life. She was an active member of Shady Grove Church, where she served her church family in many ways. She especially loved sharing her gift of music, playing the piano at Shady Grove and the organ for various church and community events.
Nancy’s love of music extended beyond the church. One of her favorite pastimes was teaching piano, and she took great joy in helping others learn and appreciate music. She also enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with the people she loved.
Those who knew Nancy will remember her for her quick wit, wonderful sense of humor, and the joy she brought into the lives of others. She had a gift for making people smile and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert L. Blankenship, and her daughter, Sherry Lynn Howell.
She is survived by her daughter, Robbie Sue Blankenship; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members and friends who will cherish her memory.
A private family service was held in her honor. Nancy was laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Robert.
Her life was marked by faith, music, service, family, and love. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy that will continue through the generations who loved her.
