Nancy Mae Taylor (Hurley)

  1. Nancy Mae Taylor (Hurley)
         6/7/1947 – 1/17/2026

Nancy Mae Taylor entered her eternal peace on January 17, 2026 in her home surrounded by loved ones after a long battle with cancer; she was and is loved by all and will be missed deeply.
Proceeded by her parents; George Lester Hurley and Eulavene Holmes; brother Tom Hurley and sister Penny Allen; three nephews Scott Hurley, Tommy Hurley and George Hurley.
Survived by her daughter and son in law Eric and Cassandra Evans; son David Wayne Taylor and the apple of her eye, only grandchild Phoenix Elijah Taylor; brothers Charles, Rocky and Frank Hurley, sisters Kathy Hurley Dunn and Susan Hurley ;also many nieces and nephews. Dear and close faithful friends Barbara Thomas; Lori Ann Wielkiewicz, Melanie Vest-Kenney, Cora Daniels and Sharon Jordan.
She knew no strangers and treated everyone like family; living respectfully in Obedience of her Heavenly Fathers word “Love thy neighbor”
She spent her life loving and caring for her family as best as she ever could; and build her life on working as a compassionate, kind, loving nurse to many in the Ashland, Henrico and Southside geriatric communities.
She was an amazingly wonderful mother and provider, her faith and prayers have been inspiring and instilled into our minds and hearts; she will forever be missed on earth yet we know she is dancing and praising in the Heavenly Mansion the Lord had prepared for His faithful servant. “Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord”. I am sure was what she heard as she entered. We will join her one day and hold her tightly.
