Randolph Maison Wetzler, fondly known as Randy, age 92, passed away peacefully at his home in Mechanicsville, Virginia, on October 19, 2025.
Born on May 29, 1933, in Richmond, Virginia, Randy was the son of Raymond and Ruby Wetzler. He grew up in Richmond alongside his two brothers, Raymond Jr. and Ralph. After graduating from Thomas Jefferson High School, Randy proudly served his country in the United States Army before building a long and successful career in the printing industry.
Randy’s quiet humor and kind spirit made him beloved by all who knew him. He never spoke an unkind word and had a gentle, genuine way of making others smile. In his free time, he enjoyed bingo, fishing, and bowling — simple pleasures that reflected his easygoing nature and love of life.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wives, Carol Wetzler and Shirley Wetzler. Randy is survived by his devoted daughter, Carol Wetzler Martin (Billy), and his three cherished grandchildren: Adam Ikenberry (Brittany), Jacob Martin (Lindsey), and Savannah Baldwin (Jacob). He will be remembered with great love and affection by them and by many other dear family members and friends.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, October 28, at 3:00 p.m. at Washington Memorial Park, 6217 Memorial Drive, Sandston, VA 23150.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Randy’s memory to Compass Christian Church, P.O. Box 1028, Mechanicsville, VA 23111.
