Wallace Riley, 63, passed away peacefully on September 25, 2025, at VCU Hospice, surrounded by his loved ones.
Born July 29, 1962, in Fredericksburg, VA, to Mary Ann and Cecil Rumford Riley, Wallace grew up in Fredericksburg and graduated from Patrick Henry High School. He spent much of his career as a tow truck driver and dispatcher.
A devoted father, Wallace loved fishing, NASCAR, WWE wrestling, and cheering for the Dallas Cowboys. He was an active member of New Song United Methodist Church, where his faith and friendships were an important part of his life.
Wallace is survived by his beloved son, Ayden Johnson, and his fiancée, Denise Capps. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Ann and Cecil Riley, and an infant brother.
Wallace will be remembered for his quick wit, deep love of family and friends, and, above all, for being a proud and devoted father to Ayden.
A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, October 1, at 11 a.m. at New Song United Methodist Church. Friends and family are invited to attend and share memories of Wallace. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Song Church in his memory.
