Slater, William (Bill Jr) C. Jr., (59), of Hanover County, passed away on July 4, 2025.  He was preceded in death by his father, William C. Slater Sr.  He is survived by his mother, Margaret C. Slater;  sister, Kaye Slater Ashworth (Jeff);  and nephew, Gunner S. Irving.  Bill Jr., also survived by Aunts Rosalie Slater and Judith Creery, Uncles Ralph Slater and Joe Creery.  He was loved by many cousins that he adored and loved.  

 

He was a 1988 graduate of The Virginia Randolph Special Education Center, where he developed many lifelong friendships.  He was The Washington Redskins biggest fan and lover of all kinds of music.  

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richmond Down Syndrome Association or Special Olympics Virginia.  

 

A celebration of life will be held at a later date and time.
